As promised, here is a server update and guide for setting up TrueNAS Scale.  

Regarding Hardware:
- Use an HBA instead of a RAID controller (we'll get to what these are later)
- TrueNAS itself needs to be installed on separate disk(s) that will not be part of the storage pool twitter.com/Cerkoryn/statu…

@matthew_hilts I just got done putting together a custom NAS for this purpose.  Was a bit spendy, but it fits my needs perfectly.  I'm using between 8/24 drives for home shares and media server though.  

The remaining 8-16 are for @IagonOfficial .
